Apart from the wind and a heavy shower late morning, the MudSweatGears series on the 19^th at Danbury got off to a good start, great turnout from the younger riders, which was nice to see at this sort of event, in fact a good mix of all abilities and ages turned up to enjoy a fast unrelenting course.

To finish the day on a high note, we had some good placed riders in all the categories (except the one hour), including some podium finishes.  Rob Kiff 3^rd in the 40 min, Dennis Dix 2nd and Patrick Stokes 3rd in the vets, and with David Hale's finishing position, that puts Team Chelmer in 2^nd place in the team cat as well.

Well done to everyone who turned up and rode, even you Mr Schofield who wore the team colors but didn’t enter as a Chelmer rider.

A great social event as well I thought, thanks to Claire for the very wicked chocolate flapjacks and cakes, and not forgetting Jon and his ever full tea pot.
